Significance of the Study
This mixed methods study will address very important component of education that is BISE examinations and assessment system of exams at secondary level. The outcomes of this study will be precious for policy maker to check the productivity of BISE examinations assessment system and its effectiveness on their research activities. Teacher’s perceptions and experiences present insider and outsider views about provision, practices and realities inside the classroom. These views and experiences can instigate a conversation with policy makers and education department about how to improve BISE examination and assessment system. This study will be informed curriculum developers, educational experts, and educational leadership and policy makers to recognize the perceptions and experiences of secondary school teachers about assessment system of examinations. Moreover the data and analysis can also be used by BISE in organize to make decisions about development of education and assessment system at secondary level in Punjab.
This research will provide the baseline information to future researchers willing to more study assessment system or any other feature connected to examination conducted by BISE.
Delimitation of the Study
In the Punjab, there are nine Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education that are responsible for conducting the secondary level examination in collaboration with one another. The study will be delimited to the eight boards of Punjab.
Theoretical Framework
The study of evaluation will be based on the theory of Bloom’s revised taxonomy of cognitive domain. This taxonomy provides six levels of learning. The explanation is arranged from the lowest level to the highest level:
1. Remembering: in this phase, the learners endeavor to know and remember the in sequence they get; they also struggle to comprehend the necessary concepts and ideology of the contented they have educated.
2. Understanding: the students endeavor to display their considerate, construe the in order and sum up what they have educated.
3. Applying: the learners apply what they have taught or pertain information to the real condition.
4. Analyzing: the students use their decisive thoughts in solving the dilemma, discuss with acquaintances, contrast the response with peers, and create a summing up. The students find novel information and thoughts after implementing decisive thoughts or a discuss in grouping activities. In this stage of knowledge, the students also construct artistic idea.
5. Evaluating: assessment or recognized peer-review information, evaluator in relational provisos; in this phase, students are evaluating the complete knowledge concepts and they could assess or create decision on how extreme they productively erudite.
6. Creating: the students are talented to intend, build and construct incredible new from what they have educated.

Research Methodology
The study will be mixed method in nature. Mixed methods investigate as combining or mixing of qualitative and quantitative research concepts, language, techniques, approaches or methods in to a single study (Onwuegbuzie, 2014). Mixed methods research can tackle a broad variety of questions like who, what, where, why, and how within a sole study (Frels&Onwuegbuzie, 2013). Various characteristics of mixed-methods research: (i) compilation and scrutiny of quantitative and qualitative data in rejoinder to research questions (ii) use of precise quantitative and qualitative methods and (iii) mixture or assimilation of qualitative and quantitative data (Creswell, 2015).
Design of the study will be exploratory design. Exploratory design enhances the indulgent of an investigator on a definite issue. It does not present decisive consequences as of the require of its numerical power, but it build the investigator resolve how and why things occur. Exploratory mixed method designs wherever a researcher begin with qualitative study next accomplish quantitative study. Information from the qualitative segment could be worn to build a new application, select a appropriate one, or to select variables that are departure to pierce the subsequent quantitative study stage.

Exploratory design
This study will use qualitative type of case study for qualitative part, due to its dependence on single variable assessment system of BISE at secondary level. Yin (2016) delineates case as a presented reality within its actual living position, predominantly when the restrictions among a truth and condition are not cogent and the examiner has tiny power above the information and condition. Researcher will use single holistic design of case study. Single Holistic mean entail one part of investigation about event. Crucial plan mostly as the cogent series that join the tentative records to a study’s major study inquiry and, lastly, to its end (Yin, 2016).
Pragmatism as a research paradigm refuses to get concerned in the controversial metaphysical concepts such as reality and truth. Instead, it accepts that there can be single or numerous realities that are open to pragmatic query .
Population
The targeted populations will be the compulsory subject’s question papers grade 10th from last five years of all Punjab boards. For quantitative phase secondary schools male, female teachers of all Punjab boards will be population of the study. Population is a collection of all those people that are careful as respondent from which some arrange of information is composed. As for as the concern of target population is the collection of those people who are elected research point.
Qualitative participant selection
Purposive sampling technique will be used to select the sample for qualitative phase of the study. Question papers of all compulsory subjects of grade 10th from last five years (2015-2019) all boards of Punjab will be the sample of study. Purposeful sampling is to select information rich cases to collect information to answer research questions (Patton, 2015).
Quantitative sample selection
Simple random sampling technique will be used to select secondary schools male, female teachers of all Punjab boards as a sample. A probability sampling is a subset of a population that is used to represent the entire group as a whole.
Document Analysis
Documents analysis can provide data on the context within which research participants operate a case of text providing context, if one might turn a phrase. Bearing witness to past events, documents provide background information as well as historical insight. Documents provide supplementary research data. Documents analysis provides a means of tracking change and development (Bowen & Glenn, 2009).
Close-ended questionnaire
Close ended questionnaires should make the participants feel comfortable. They should also be posed in a nonintrusive way so participants do not get the feeling we are judging their lifestyle, beliefs about different languages or linguistic behavior. Given that questions about attitudes towards languages and the way people identify themselves linguistically are usually quite sensitive issues, it is advisable to pose them indirectly or include them in more extensive conversations. Data on attitudes, there are all kinds of other information such as age, educational level, and family situation, country of origin, place of residence, school attended and many other additional details that might be relevant when it comes to the data analysis (Dooly, Moore, & Vallejo, 2017).
Validity of the instrument
The checklist will be validated by a panel of experts, pilot tested and improved prior to collection of data from the field. Legality establish whether the investigate actually actions that which it was deliberate to determine or how candid the study consequences are. In further terms, does the study tool allow you to punch the bull’s eye of your investigate article? Investigators normally establish legality via inquire a chain of problems, and will habitually glance for the responses in the study of others.
Reliability of the instrument
The questionnaire will be processed applying SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) to calculate reliability. The degree to which consequences are reliable over instant and an precise depiction of the whole people beneath revise is referred to as consistency and if the consequences of a revision can be replicate below an akin method, then the investigate tool is measured to be trusty.
Qualitative data collection
In qualitative part researcher will gather data through document analysis. Document analysis is an efficient process for reviewing or evaluating papers both written and electronic (computer-based and Internet-transmitted) material. Like further systematic methods in qualitative research, document analysis requires that data be examined and interpreted in order to extract connotation, expand appreciative, and increase experiential information.
Quantitative data collection
In quantitative part researcher will collect data through open-ended questionnaire. Participants of the study will be secondary school teachers (male/female) who taught at secondary level. Open ended questions can lead to a greater level of discovery.
Qualitative analysis
Data will be analyzed through thematic and open coding. Document analysis explores ideas, and attitude, devoting understanding although existence is constantly effective.
Descriptive state shall be the first step in quantitative data analysis. It is useful for organizing, summarizing, and comprehension of the data. For this purpose, data entry into computer will be done by using SPSS (Latest version). In this way, percentage and tables shall be obtained for the presentation of data.
Legal & Ethical Considerations
The research problem under consideration is neither legally unlawful nor ethically harm for anybody. Any other legal or ethical considerations will be treading and the proposal will be modified as per the expected terms and conditions by data agencies.
Budget & Time Management
Partial fulfillment of the degree is proposal so budget is not important deal for my research project. The funds are a procession entry (tabular) illustration of the fixed cost connected by the plan scheme. The funds validations enclose further in vigor feature of the expenses after the procession substance, and occasionally clarify the exploit of the finances. Critical thing will be the time management for each task after the approval the time will manage using Gantt charting. Proficient instant administration is necessary at each phase of my study vocation. The researcher expect to assume will numerous responsibilities such as moving out testing, inscription rumor, distribute documents, managerial responsibilities, coaching, and pertain for financial support.

Summary
Evaluation plays a vital role in the development of students. It is also used to determine whether or not a student is ready to move up to the next grade (Borghouts, Slingerland, &Haerens, 2017).In order to achieve a certain level of standardization, governments worldwide draw to public examination systems to assess the abilities of students for the next level of education (Goldstein&Leckie, 2016; Lau & Tam, 2017). The role of examination in students’ life has great impact in their academic life and in future for professional life. Without conducting examination the student’s progress at particular level cannot be determined and the goal of developing quality in education cannot be achieved (Islam, 2016; Kirkpatrick &Zang, 2014).
The role of examinations in students’ life has great impact in their academic life and in future for professional life. Without conducting examination the student’s progress at particular level cannot be determined and the goal of developing quality in education cannot be achieved. In Pakistan, is very little systematic and comprehension research can be found to determine the quality of public examination at secondary level. This research attempts to fill this gap by conducting a comprehensive study of “evaluation of compulsory subjects under blooms taxonomy at secondary level in Punjab.” The proposed study will scrutinize this gap. This study will examine effectiveness of assessment system of Board examinations at secondary level.
The objectives of the study will be: Analysis the compulsory subject’s question papers of secondary school as compared under the blooms taxonomy conducted by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. This study will be mixed method in nature. Mixed methods research can address a wide range of questions like who, what, where, why, and how within a single study. It is an approach in which researcher collects both qualitative and quantitative data, integrates the two and then draws interpretations based on the combined strengths of both sets of data to understand research problem. Design of the study will be exploratory design. Exploratory mixed method designs consist of two phases: qualitative phase of a study and then a separate quantitative phase or vice versa. Exploratory design in which the researcher first use qualitative methods followed by quantitative methods to help explain the qualitative results in more depth.
Paradigm of the research will be pragmatism. Pragmatism is based on understanding human experience. Pragmatists rejected the idea that social inquiry using a single scientific method could access truths regarding the real world.
The targeted populations will all Punjab Boards grade 10th all compulsory subjects question papers from last five years (2015-2019), secondary school male, female teachers of all Punjab boards. Sample of the study will all compulsory subjects question papers grade 10th from last five years of all Punjab boards, one thousand secondary school teachers of all Punjab boards. Researcher will use simple random sampling technique for quantitative sample selection and purposive sampling technique for qualitative sample. Quantitative data will collect through questionnaire. Qualitative data will collect by document analysis. Qualitative data will analyzed by using thematic analysis.
